Our Founder

Tulmar Ridge, LLC was co-founded by Mr. Richard Ryan, who currently serves as President.

Mr. Ryan graduated in 1991 from The United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Management and Minor in Systems Engineering. He went on to serve for over 7 years in the aviation branch of the US Army, culminating his career with a command of over 100 soldiers in the operations, logistics and maintenance of 32 advanced helicopters. He served with units including 2-9 Cavalry (7th ID), 2-17 Cavalry (Korea), 5-17 Cavalry (101st Airborne Division). Upon leaving the military, Mr. Ryan attended Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management where he earned his Masters in Business Administration and was a Texaco Scholar. Mr. Ryan spent nearly four years with McKinsey & Company, a premier global consulting firm, advising senior management on their most challenging problems. His work included operations improvement, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy turnaround, and growth strategy both domestically and abroad.

Prior to founding Tulmar Ridge, Mr. Ryan acquired Ridgeline Industries, a manufacturer and supplier of defense related fabricated textile equipment. He currently sits on the board and supports senior leadership at MPC Group, a company focused on design, engineering and manufacture of a wide range of specialty fabric products.
